Comedy

I think my communication style is a mixture of Ricky Gervais and Louis CK. Probably, one could say I have a twisted sense of humour.

I love this show. I love the girl in this show. She is so cute and so dumb, so clichéd. But really, her dumbness is actually cool. It no longer looks like acting — it feels like expected behaviour from her character.

Extras, the series, just has to be good because the casting is so strong. Here’s the catch: each episode has a celebrity in it. And celebrities are just humans — trying, doing their thing, being themselves.

Obviously, most of the time that means being assholes. Not Kate Winslet though. She is very sweet, even though one character would disagree. Just that one character. Don’t worry about it.

I also like Ricky Gervais’ partner in crime, Stephen Merchant, he is also in the show. Just imagine a naive-Kramer from Seinfeld. I think at one point, I was just watching the show because of him.

I believe the show ended at Episode 6 of Season 2, and that’s where it should have ended. Ricky Gervais being Ricky made another episode and brought in the depressing stuff just to show “that’s life.” I hate when he does that, but obviously there is more love than hate for him.

This guy rocks. He touches taboo topics. He calls out self-righteous assholes. You’ve seen him do this at the Golden Globes.

Back to the series, I don’t want to say anything more, as it would invite spoilers.

Extras is awesome. Please watch it.

Verdict – 10
