Action PS5 Samurai

Is Ghost of Yotei a good game? Yes, it is.
Is it really, really, really good? No.
You can’t compare it to Ghost of Tsushima. Ghost of Tsushima is a legendary game, a masterpiece, an art. The best in samurai games.
What made Ghost of Tsushima really great was the buildup, the emotions, the characterization. Jin Sakai — my God — he is the best there can be. Ethical, samurai, ghost, a good student, a good nephew (though his uncle would disagree).
And then there is Ghost of Yotei, which took the whole game’s model and made a part two.
No real storyline or character building. It felt more mechanical than emotional. I mean, at one point you are just playing to complete the game. As opposed to Ghost of Tsushima, where I always felt like, “Oh, I hope the game is only 20% complete.”
I liked that the quick travel was very fast.
Kunai did not feel that powerful, which was a bit disappointing. And it was like an end-game weapon — again, disappointing.
Odachi and Yari felt so useless.
Also, there were some game mechanics I didn’t like. The parry is not easy, and at one point it didn’t feel like I was doing anything wrong.
How did I beat Takezo?
I just didn’t let him attack.
I used charms through which I could gain spirits.
I believe I used the Armor of Undying.
Most important — I went with full quick throwables and full spirits.
Used Dual Katana only.
Process - Attacked with Heavenly Strike, followed-up with 2–3 more strikes, then threw a quick weapon like smoke, kunai, or bullet. Then kept repeating this till the end.
Don't let Takezo recover or get back in his fighting stance.
But unlike Tsushima, I didn’t feel victorious in the end. I just felt done.
Verdit Ghost of Yotei - 7
Verdict Ghost of Tsushima -10
