Horror Weird Creepy PS5 GOTY

So there has been too much hype about this. Too much.

Still is.

Personally I am very biased to not liking it much, so I will start from there directly.

The problem –

  1. One way of playing the game is, either you avoid everything at starting, keep exploring the whole depths of the game and then come back to the bosses when you have scaled much.

  2. The game is very weird, creepy. Imagine creepy, if you are doing it a surface level purposely to be heaven about your life. Imagine it at a subconsious level, the fear and creep, the one you don't want to share with anyone, just so they don't experiment with you even for the fun of it.

  3. The main problem is, I didn't see any real parry or blocking technique.

There are tones of videos on Youtube in which they are doing it very easily, but I played about 200 hours, I don't know, it doesn't exist.

With the above problem in mind - if your favourite game has been Ghost of Tsushima, God of war, this game will feel very off to you.

Now enough of the cribbing, it did win many game awards, so there has to be something good about it.

The good –

  1. Personal hell - if you are into horror movies and looking to get psychologically fucked. This is it. I won't even name the creepy, scary things that are there. Giant crabs and “fingers”, let's not even get into that. Oh, you are into seafood. Good for you.

  2. Lots of maps and mystery things, yes, exploration is good. And the kind of exploration, which doesn’t stop, there are like loops within loops, like nested loops. That’s good, as it keeps mysteries alive.

  3. Sad – if you are into sad shit, and the whole situation being sad, and everything that is to come is sad, then this is definitely for you.

There is no good in the world. Like it won't happen.

  4. While combat makes no sense in this game, defeating opponents is definitely very rewarding. It's really like achieving something, like some milestone in life achieved.

  5. Multiple endings, if that’s your kink.

You take 150-300 hours to finish the game, and then there is New Game Plus. Now I am not even sure if I am talking about pros and cons.

The line is no longer existing in the game, in my opinion of the game, and also in life lately. You have noticed that right?

What I really hate is the hype. Such nuisance getting such hype, weird but it makes sense in today’s world.

The game at one point just doesn’t make any sense. But yes, the mysteries are good.

Probably some may not have been explored till now.

One scenario from the game - You go to a place which is all happy. And then you go again at a different time of the day there, and it is a nightmare, as if Scarlet Witch has become a zombie and is after the infinity stones.

There are different styles of playing the game, which is good.

There are places in the game where you can scale up without any effort, it just makes no sense. And imagine all the free scaling, and still, you are always losing.

After a while the story line is too much to follow that you just wait for half the people to show up in combat again, so you can just kill them without getting attached to their storyline.

This has been the most disturbing game and dark time to play this game, it has made me so much numb to real things now.

Last thing, the graphics, not a real fan. Feels like a very big game made in early 2000s.

Oh!! So creepy - the game!! I don’t even want to talk about the hell that is waiting... down... below.... where hell is.

You can give this game a score of 9 or 10, and I would understand why you might rate it high. I may understand, but I wouldn't respect you much.

Verdict - 4
